Buckinghamshire Council creaks tonight as cold weather returns to the county

Gritters are deployed in Buckinghamshire tonight (Wednesday March 30) as cold weather returns to the council. Roads in the area are expected to be dealt with from around 9 p.m.

Buckinghamshire Council said roads in the area could potentially drop to freezing temperatures. He added that winter showers were expected in some areas.

A spokesman for Buckinghamshire Council said: “Where has the sun gone? We drive through the county this evening from 9pm – a chilly night and wintry showers forecast with road surface temperatures likely to drop slightly or below 0 degrees.”

The latest Met Office weather forecast for the South East, which includes Buckinghamshire, says: “The rain continues this evening, changing to wintry showers overnight. Feeling cold with strong winds, especially near the coast. Frosty at dawn. Minimum temperature 0°C. “
