Essex is forecast for a much cooler and cloudier day today (May 7) after yesterday’s sunshine and highs of 22C. The latest Met Office weather forecast suggests Essex will feel temperatures dropping above 5°C, with a chance of early morning rain and dark gray clouds expected for most of the day.
The start of the week also saw dark clouds and squalls of rain as temperatures remained cool. But yesterday some areas reached highs of 22C and most saw bright sunshine.
The Met Office weather forecast for the east of England, which includes Essex, said: “Rain and drizzle rolling off from the south-east during the morning. Persistent coastal fog to the east where cool, but warm with sunny spells and showers elsewhere. Mainly cloudy in the evening. High temperature 19°C.”
