If you think we’ve been much warmer than we should for July so far, you’d be right. Temperatures have soared into the high 90s above 100+ on all but one day this month. Halfway through the month, we are on course for the hottest July on record. This after being the hottest June since records have been kept since 1889. The graphs below show the maximums and their averages while the other shows the average temperature for the day which is a combination of the minimums and maximums.

As you can see, other than tomorrow, we don’t have much respite from this relentless heat. Although the temperatures will be slightly lower, the humidity will be high, creating uncomfortable feelings like temperatures. And we’re back into the triple digits on Wednesday.

No tropical development is expected in the Atlantic next week. A plume of dust from Africa will move into Texas over the weekend. Make sure you’re prepared for the rest of our hurricane season by getting our Hurricane tracking app.
