Essex’s mini heatwave is expected to cool down today (May 15) with temperatures not quite reaching Saturday’s highs. The county is expected to be treated to cooler temperatures due to the mini heat wave experienced on Saturday, with more cloud cover and forecast rain/
While parts of Essex could reach highs of 20C today, temperatures will not be at the highs of the early 20s seen on Saturday. Some areas including Chelmsford are even facing rain showers today.
The Met Office weather forecast for the east of England, which includes Essex, says: “Rather cloudy with outbreaks of rain and showers heading north-east. These conditions are expected to gradually move away further late to allow warm and sunny periods, slightly tempered by the developing breeze. Maximum temperature 25°C..”
