SHREVEPORT, Louisiana – Heavy rain and thunderstorms will create a risk of flooding through Wednesday evening and Thursday morning. the National Weather Service – Shreveport placed the ArkLaTex at marginal to slight risk of severe storms.
A flood watch is in effect Tuesday 7 a.m. through Thursday 7 a.m. for all of eastern Texas, extreme southeast Oklahoma, southwest Arkansas and parts of northern Louisiana. The threat of heavy rain and localized flooding will increase Tuesday through late Wednesday evening. Rainfall amounts ranging from 2 to 4 inches with isolated amounts above 5 inches are expected.
