MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Another day of sunshine and warm weather will arrive before the changes arrive as we head into the weekend!
Today
Highs will climb into the upper 70s only to drop back into the 80s today. Florence and sufficiently remote inland areas will make another run in the mid-80s under partly cloudy skies.
The beaches were PACKED on Tuesday and expect the same today, especially with schools in Horry County over spring break.
Rest of the week
A cold front will bring a few showers and thunderstorms from Thursday evening to Friday morning.

Highs will be cooler on Thursday with a few more clouds, but expect the bulk of the showers and thunderstorms to occur late Thursday evening and Friday morning.

So far the severe weather threat remains low with only a level one severe weather threat to the region. It is important to note that this weather will come from the same system producing severe weather in the west, but with lesser impacts for our region.
As we wake up on Friday morning, showers will continue to fall throughout the morning before clearing out in the late morning and early afternoon. Friday’s highs will reach the mid-low 70s with a drier evening on tap.
This weekend
As we look to the Easter weekend, we will see warmer weather than the previous weekend, but our volatile weather will continue with daily showers and a chance of storms.
The chance of rain will persist on Saturday at 40%, mainly in the afternoon. Saturday’s highs will climb into the mid-70s. By Sunday, look for partly cloudy skies with a few 30% showers. It’s not a complete wash and no Easter plans should be canceled.
