Sunny and warm this week

WE ARE SO CLOSE TO THE WEEKEND AND THE FORECAST LOOKS VERY SUMMERLY. AS WE WILL ACTUALLY SEE A LOT OF HTEA AND A LITTLE MORE HUMIDITY TO BUILD IT OVER THE WEEKEND. AND SO YOU NOTICE IT ON SATURDAY. WE GO TO HIGH NEAR TH87 UPPER 80S SUNDAY. SEEMS LIKE NOW SATURDAY COULD ACTUALLY STAND THE BEST CHANCE OF SEEING SOME WIDELY DISSEMINATED THUNDERSTORMS, RIGHT? I STILL ONLY HAVE ABOUT A 30% CHANCE OF AN ISOLATED STORM ON SUNDAY, BUT STILL PRETTY HOT AND HUMID WITH MOST OF US IN THE UPPER 80S AND A FEW CLOUDS IN TUSCALOOSA THIS MORNING. WE ARE CURRENTLY AT 68 AND IT IS DEFINITELY HUMIER THAN IT HAS BEEN, WE HAVE GOT DEW POINT TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER 60 S. AND SOT IT GIVES US A FAIR INDICATION OF WHAT IS LEFT OUTSIDE AND IT CERTAINLY IS MUCH MUGGY THAN IT HAS BEEN LAST MORNINGS. WE EVEN HAVE SOME 70S ON THE MAP 72 IN IRMINGHAM 71 IN ALABASTER. A MID-60S. THEY ARE EAST OF ALABAMA AND EVEN A FEW SHOWERS ON WVTM 13 LIVE DOPPRLE THIS MORNING KIND OF MOVING BIBB COUNTY NOW YOUAN C SEE MOST OF THEOS MOVING THROUGH PERRY COUNTY BUT EVEN JUST AT WEST OF MAPLESVILLE AND STANTON HAD A FEW SHOWERS. THEY ARE ALREADY THIS MORNING AND IF YOU ARE JUST EAST OF YOU AS FAR AS THE CHANCES OF RAIN THEY WILL BE QUITE LIMITED TODAY AND EVEN IF IT’S MUGGY THIS MORNING DO YOU THINK THE HUMIDITY WILL DROP OVER OF THE DAY TODAY. THE EXCEPTION MAY BE IN SOME OF OUR FAR WESTERN COUNTIES. THIS IS LIKYEL WHERE WE WILL HAVE THE BEST CHANCE OF SEEING AN AFTERNOON SHOWER OR STORM TODAY IF YOU ARE MOVING DOWN TO THE GULF COAST FOR THE WEEKEND LOOKS GREAT TOMORROW. MAYBE A LITTLE BETTER CHANCE FOR AN AFTERNOON SHOWER OR STORM BUT THEN JUST A LITTLE MUGGY AND BREEZY AT TIMES WITH LOTS OF MID 80S DOWN ALO TNGHE ALABAMA COASTND A FOR US RAIN CHANCES UP A LITTLE OVERHE T WEEK- END, BUT NOT A LARGE HOUR OF RAIN EXPECTED TOMORROW. WE WILL BE JUST A LITTLE COOLER WITH EAST WINDS THEN THE HEAT AND HUMIDITY BUILD UP OVER THE WEEKEND AND THEN WE HAVE SOME OF IT MIDDLE NEXT WEEK BA

Staying warm with isolated showers possible for central Alabama

Temperatures will continue to be above normal for the foreseeable future in central Alabama with a limited chance of rain. Get the latest predictions in the video above. SPOTTY SHOWERS We’re not breaking any heat records yet this spring, but every day without rain will bring warmer afternoon highs. It was definitely wetter to start the day but a frontal boundary moving east to west should bring a noticeable drop in humidity throughout the day. The exception to this will be in our western counties where there will be a chance of showers or isolated thunderstorms this afternoon. Temperatures will be warm again with most places in the upper 80s. 7 DAY FORECAST Easterly winds on Friday will keep temperatures from getting as hot with highs in the low to mid 80s. An isolated shower is possible on Friday but unlikely for most spots. Over the weekend, humidity levels will rise enough for a few afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures will remain above normal in the upper 80s on both days. Get the free WVTM 13 app and enable alerts for the latest weather updates.
