WEATHER IN IRELAND: Latest Met Eireann weather forecast calls for more stable weather this week

Weather in Ireland is expected to be calmer this week according to the latest weather forecast for Ireland from Met Eireann.

According to Met EireannIreland is expected to experience a largely stabilized weather period for the coming week with only small amounts of rain or drizzle and high pressure prevailing. Temperatures close to normal in general but a little cold in the east. There will be frost and fog forming under the clouds overnight.

Weather in Met Eireann for Monday

According to Met Eireann, Monday will be mild, humid and mostly cloudy tomorrow, Monday, with scattered rain and drizzle, but there will also be good dry spells. Temperatures 10 to 13 degrees warmer in mostly moderate southwesterly winds, veering west later. Later in the afternoon, cooler and clearer conditions will develop in the west.

The scattered rain will dissipate to the southeast early Monday evening and it will become mainly dry and cold with sunny spells. In light or changeable southwestern breezes patches of mist and fog will form with a touch of frost. Lowest temperatures from 0 to 3 degrees.

Weather in Met Eireann for Tuesday

According to Met Eireann, Tuesday will be a sunny and largely dry day with long stretches of sunshine and just a scattered drizzle along the southern coasts and isolated light showers in the northwest. Temperatures 6-9 degrees warmer in light southwest winds, cooler near the northwest coast.

Tuesday evening will be a dry night with long clear spells, allowing the lowest temperatures to drop to between -1 and +3 degrees with frost developing in places in mostly light winds. A few patches of haze and fog are also forming.

Weather in Met Eireann for Wednesday

Remaining mostly dry until Wednesday with clearings after the haze and fog clears. Temperatures highest 7-10 degrees, mildest west and southwest, in light to moderate southwest or variable winds.

Weather Met Eireann for Thursday and Friday

Thursday and Friday promise to be mainly dry although a little drizzle is sometimes possible on the Atlantic coasts. Cloud cover will vary and winds will generally be light southerly or variable. The highest temperatures will range from 5-6 degrees east and northeast to milder 8-9 degrees further west. The nights will be cold with frost and dense patches of fog forming.
