Weather Update: Extremely heavy rains to hit Rajasthan, MP; check the latest forecast

The low over northwestern Madhya Pradesh and eastern Rajasthan as well as southwestern Uttar Pradesh has moved westward over the past six hours and is centered over the northwest of Madhya Pradesh and adjacent areas of eastern Rajasthan, about 20 km south-south-east of Guna (Madhya Pradesh), 80 km northeast of Rajgarh (Madhya Pradesh), 170 km east -south-east of Kota (Rajasthan) and 370 km east of Udaipur (Rajasthan). Widespread light to moderate rain with isolated heavy to very heavy rain accompanied by extremely heavy rainfall is very likely over western Madhya Pradesh and eastern Rajasthan on August 22, while fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rain with isolated heavy to very heavy falls accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is possible over northern parts of eastern Gujarat on August 22-23 and in Rajasthan on August 23.

In addition, fairly widespread to widespread light or moderate rainfall with isolated heavy falls accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning was forecast over western Rajasthan on August 22-24, eastern Madhya Pradesh on August 22-26 August, Western Madhya Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan and Goa on August 23, Odisha on August 23 and 24, Gujarat on August 24, Saurashtra and Kutch on August 23, Chhattisgarh on August 25 and 26 .
