The first round of THE PLAYERS Championship was delayed an hour on Thursday due to wet weather.

All entrance gates are currently scheduled to open at 7:30 a.m. for ticketed spectators.

Although there will be brief breaks in the rain, expect to need the ponchos if you’re at The Players for the first and second rounds.

LIVE RADAR:

Lightning will once again be a risk as well as one or two gusty storms in the afternoon. There seems to be a better chance of rain breaks after 3pm on Thursday, and again later on Friday.

THIS WEEKEND: The strongest storms and heaviest rain hit Saturday morning as a cold front brought in a squall line. This front helps clear us for the rest of the weekend (once the rain clears in the late morning). By lunchtime the skies will be much drier and clouds will start to clear on Saturday afternoon.
